Once again we are offering our “Award Winning Burgers” one beef and one lamb, and a veggie option also. In addition is our smoked brisket that sold out last time in record time.
With three sides to choose from, and two awesome wine selections, this takes all the stress out of your Fourth of July preparation. The burgers are assembled and ready to go on the grill, while the brisket and all the sides are good to go right into your stomach! And we include our famous wine notes and story about each wine so you can learn while you drink!
The Beef burger is 100% Australian Wagyu that melts in your mouth. We go light on our fresh herb blend with this one, as the Beef speaks for itself with tons of flavors. Eat it on it’s own, or make your own burger. With the burger comes a Brioche Bun, Shredded Lettuce, a slice of Heirloom Tomato, and our Special Burger Sauce.
There is also a Lamb Burger available as well. This is another favorite we have served at many Summer Home Somm events, and is always a big success. Even people who claim to not like Lamb end up loving this burger. It comes with a Brioche Bun, Pickled Red Onion and Feta Cheese.
We also have our Veggie Burger that is made from Eggplant, Porcini Mushrooms and a little bit of Black Beans. Packed with fresh spices and herbs, it is not to be missed for a non-meat option. It comes with Brioche Bun, Shredded Lettuce and a slice of Heirloom Tomato. This is a totally vegetarian option.
We will also have the option to get any of the above without a bun, protein style.
There is also the 18 Hour Smoked Brisket with our housemade BBQ sauce on the side. Sold by the pound, until it’s sold out.
SIDES:
Our much requested Macaroni and Cheese
Butter Lettuce Salad with fresh in-season Peaches and a Shallot Dressing
Cold Watermelon Salad with Feta, Mint and Sweet Onions, a real summer delight!
DESSERT:
And for Dessert we have another super special one for you all! Mini 5 inch White Chocolate Summer Berry Pies!! Perfect to split, or just splurge and enjoy the whole thing solo!!
WINE PAIRINGS:
WHITE: 2018 Dry Creek Vineyards Chenin Blanc. This is one of our favorite grapes in the whole wide world, usually the best come from the Loire Valley in France as well as South Africa. But this one comes from Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma, and packs a punch above its weight class. A perfect food wine on a warm afternoon. With a flowery overlay to its directly fruity aromas of ripe melons and white peaches, Dry Creek Vineyards’ 2018 edition is a nicely filled Chenin Blanc that, while dry, consistently conveys so much persistent fruit that it intimates a sensation of juicy sweetness. It gets a preferential nod over its slightly older version by dint of its youthful verve, and, while balanced to make for very amicable drinking with food, it is a decidedly tasty morsel on its own.
RED: 2018 Pinna Fidelis Roble Ribera del Duero, Spain. If you don’t know this region yet, get to know it. They are producing some of the most exciting wines in not only all of Spain, but the world over. Located on the Duero River (the same river that goes through Portugal where Port is made) in Central Spain, there are some outstanding food friendly and economical wines coming into the States these days. The grape is Tinto Fino, a synonym of Tempranillo. Based in the village of Peñafiel, at the eastern edge of the Valladolid province’s famed “Golden Mile” along the N-122, Pinna Fidelis produces richly fruited, sumptuous Ribera del Duero wines based on Tinto Fino grown in primarily calcareous clay parcels at altitudes up to 900 meters above sea level.
